This means correlating information on applications, users, content, hosts, attacks, vulnerabilities, behavior and changes in a user’s environment to assess risks and threat impact to make more precise enforcement decisions. Sourcefire also introduced the flexibility to deploy this solution as a NGIPS with application control, to augment existing firewall deployments.
