Sourcefire “Gold” – Winner for IPS in 2011 Information Security Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards

Information Security Magazine today reported what our customers have been telling us for some time: Sourcefire has the best IPS solution on the planet. We’re very honored to have won this year’s Gold award for best intrusion prevention / detection product in the magazine’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.

According to the award write-up:

“Readers gave Sourcefire’s IPS the highest ratings for intrusion detection and prevention. Readers noted the product works accurately and effectively, with solid alerting and reporting features.”

More than 1,500 voters, who rated the products they use within their own organizations, determined Sourcefire’s win. There were several different criteria considered for these awards, including value, technology and effectiveness.
